June 29, 2011

Dear Bowling Proprietor and/or Manager:

The Illinois USBC BA is seeking bids for the 2013 and 2014 state tournaments.  The tournaments are conducted on a split state concept, which had it beginning in 1990.  The concept only involves the location of the bowling centers for the North and South sectionals and have no bearing where a bowler wishes to bowl, i.e., the bowler has the option of bowling at either the North or South, or both.   Enclosed is a listing of bowling centers and sectional area.

The deadline for receipt of bids is August 10, 2011.  You may bid for either one or both years.

Listed below are the number of entries for the past two tournaments.  If desiring more data about the IUSBC BA or other data, visit our web page: ibabowl.com

2009    North at Woodview Lanes  - Elgin                              T-451               D-     932         S-1862
            South at Camelot Bowl      - Collinsville                      T-312               D-     628         S-1256

2010    North at Four Seasons – Freeport                              T-387               D-     856         S- 1712
            South at Northgate Family Recr. – Galesburg           T-400               D-     723         S- 1446

Our lane requirements:           North sectional site must have a minimum of 32 lanes.

South sectional site must have a minimum of 32 lanes.

Every Illinois USBC certified bowling center with the above requirements is sent a bid request.   However, we would be less than candid if we failed to mention that establishments with automatic scoring equipment may be more favorably considered than establishments not having automatic scoring.

If you are interested in submitting a bid, please complete the attached questionnaire, and return to the writer.

You may return this questionnaire via mail;  Fax:  1.217.487.7513; or e-mail:   ibawgc@att.net

The IUSBC BA tournament committee will meet on September 10, to make their selections.  The results of this committee’s actions will be posted on our web site (ibabowl.com), usually that same date, but definitely no later than September 12, 2011.  The bowling centers selected will be mailed a contract to review, complete and return quickly.

Respectfully,
